Being a graduate at Harris Manchester is very like being an undergraduate here: postgraduates can and do use the Junior Common Room (JCR) and the majority of social events are for all students to participate in.
The new Committee is elected in Michaelmas 2025 and their profile are listed here:

Last year, as your Secretary, I had a simple goal: to bring us closer. I launched the Bi-Weekly Blast to share our stories, kickstarted the building of a new website (yes! I procrastinated enough from my DPhil to build this one!) to connect us, and ensured our common room was always stocked with snacks as a small gesture of care. I even saddled up to launch our first-ever welfare horse riding retreat, believing that new adventures forge stronger bonds. That work was just the beginning. This year, I see our common room that has blossomed with new voices, as so many more of you have stepped forward to join our Committee. Thank you, my MCR friends. Now, let's build on that foundation together. Let's finish what we started and raise the bar, moving our website from a prototype to our official digital home. Let's deepen our commitment to inclusion, expanding beyond the BwB with regular online meetings, and more hybrid academic events, so no member is ever on the periphery. Amongst other duties I will protect and grow our traditions, guaranteeing the festive dinner, snacks attack, art therapy and coffee walks, and the now-beloved retreat as cornerstone welfare/presidential events. We will strengthen the MCR fabric of our college by creating a considerate system to share event slots with the JCR, because a thriving college is a connected one. Of course, we will always prioritize MCR first. And above all, I promise you this: I will listen. The systems I built as Secretary were for you, and as your President (and Welfare Officer) now, that will not change. Together, with our full and vibrant team, we will not just be a Committee. We will be the architects of a more connected, inclusive, and vibrant home. Let us build this, together.

Hello! I'm Zoe, your MCR President for this year! I study graduate-entry medicine, and if you don't catch me when I'm running up to the JR, you'll probably find me around the library with my iconic stack of textbooks. I'm truly honoured to be your MCR president, and I'm so lucky to be working with such an enthusiastic and hard-working committee dedicated to supporting the MCR socially and academically. I'm really excited about what we have planned for the year ahead!

During formals, she is usually on energy-saving mode, but you can catch her in the college every Mon/ Wednesday/ Friday pm to am term time. Emails? You will get a lot from Jay: she is the PIC of the BwB (Bi-weekly blasts) and the unofficial IT specialist of the MCR. Jay brings with her a strong commitment to sincerity, efficiency, and transparency - and she always respond faster through emails than Whatsapp. In Trinity, she is launching ‘‘Bubble-time’’ chats - stay tuned for more updates.

Emma brings with her both college and social experience, having previously served as a bartender’s dishwasher during her master's year at Oxford, which gave her the opportunity to get to know many students. She aims to reinstate and improve key social events like the Halloween dinner and bring a fresh perspective to MCR-specific events. With her enthusiasm for diversifying social offerings, Emma plans to incorporate a wide range of activities that cater to all tastes.

Having previously served as MCR Co-President, Lea has gained valuable insights into how the MCR operates and is eager to contribute in a new capacity. Throughout her PhD journey, Lea has honed her organizational skills and developed an interest in finance, making her well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the role. She is confident in her ability to manage the MCR's budget, ensure timely reimbursements, and keep financial matters running smoothly so that events can continue without members needing to rely on their own funds. Lea is always approachable for any questions and looks forward to an exciting year filled with fun events for all.

Ana is returning for another year as Welfare Officer after successfully serving as a co-Welfare Officer in her first year at HMC. During her first term, she gained valuable experience navigating the college and broader University welfare systems and is now excited to continue her work in this role. Anastasiia aims to build on the previous year’s efforts, collaborating with fellow MCR and JCR reps to create a more structured and accessible welfare provision. The cherished Welfare Café will remain a staple of her plans, and she also intends to expand the range of welfare-related activities, such as guest chats, walks, open mics, and crafts.

Behind every great brand is a team of makers and doers. Let your visitors know who they are.

Ella Colton serves as the Living Out Officer, supporting students living off-campus by providing resources, organizing social events, and addressing housing-related concerns to ensure a connected and inclusive community.

Apart from the emails listed on the website, you are welcome to leave behind your email so we can get back to you in due course. Noted, however, we must prioritize the HMC students in our replies. Thank you very much.
