Where to look for activities you like:
In general, we have our Social Secretary in charge of the fun events happening in MCR at HMC - they are social activities like BOPs and guest nights, and they are usually announced on a social term card in Week 0 of each term. For those who preferred academic activities and knowledge exchanges, it is usually advertised through the Secretary on the BwB (Bi-weekly Blast) or on the Academic page. And for welfare activities, we have our welfare and women officers helping with launching gatherings and coffee walks, usually on Whatsapps, on the BwB, and the Welfare page.

Want to work with our Social Secretary?
Do try to get in touch with our social secretary if you have any ideas about more socials. We can’t go too crazy - but at least we will entertain and try our best to achieve it when funding and opportunities are present.

Academic events ?
Sometimes, social events can take the form of academic activities. We advertise academic and occasional welfare events more formally via a mailing list and ensure that all members of the HMC MCR community receive information about knowledge exchanges opportunities. To be part of this mailing list, you usually need to be a member of the MCR.
If, however, you are not getting our Bi-weekly Blast (BwB) as an MCR member, email the Secretary right away so we put you back to the list. This sometimes happens since we do not keep personal data and will need to request university IT for updates.

We also have events organized by other members of the committee and the overall MCR community where they advertise via the internal Whatsapp group for HMC MCRers. If you are not part of the Whatsapp group and wish to be part of it, please any members of our committee member to gain access.
